The Video Production Guide for Schools is a resource you can turn to before, during and after filming to help your team understand our filmmaking process and set your school up for success. Don’t worry about trying to understand every little detail, just have fun with it and feel free to jump around from section to section!

GLOSSARY
A-Roll - Interviews or other footage containing the primary spoken narrative.
Audio Mixing - The process of adjusting the volumes and tonality of voices, music and environmental sounds used in videos.
B-Roll - Imagery intercut with Interviews that supports the story
Client Monitor - A designated viewing screen for our clients that allow them to view what we are filming.
Color Grading - The process of enhancing and balancing colors and light levels of footage. This is one of the final stages of Post-Production.
Gimbal - A camera stabilization device that enables smooth floating camera motion.
Home Base - A room in your facility in which our crew stores equipment on filming days.
Set - A location in which filming occurs.
Scene - A specific activity being filmed in specific location.
Sound Design - Blending studio-recorded sonic elements with natural sounds recorded into the field.
Stock Music - Music that is pre-recorded and available to license through various website libraries.
