STORY TABLE

The Story Table is a tool we use collaboratively with our clients to build the foundation of videos. It is a simple table consisting of three columns: Theme, Interview and B-Roll.

The idea is to identify the key Themes of your Story, determine what members of your school community are best equipped to be Interviewed about those Themes, and then imagine B-Roll scenes that support those Themes.

A Story Table is not necessarily filled out from left to right. If there is a specific visual that is fundamental to your school experience, you can fill out the Story Table from right to left and find the Interview and Theme to support that B-Roll.

It is also okay if some of your desired B-Roll scenes do not have corresponding Themes and Interviews - go ahead and list them anyways. The goal of the Story Table is not to have a perfect blueprint of your video; it functions more like a sketch or mock-up that enables us to see the big picture and keep our content ideas organized.

Please fill out your Story Table to the best our your ability. After you have added as much information as possible, we will review and work with you to refine a clear vision for your video.
